Book Synopsis:
A Hallowe’en wedding is taking place in Sunnybrook! One well-loved Little Duck Pond Café regular will be walking down the aisle at a reputedly haunted manor house miles from anywhere – and it’s set to be the spookiest and most fun Big Day ever. But when the local river floods and the wedding party is stranded there overnight, weird things start to happen. Are ghostly antics at play here? Or is there something far more sinister going on? Will the wedding even go ahead?

Book Review
*I was kindly gifted a copy of this book in exchange for taking part in this blog tour, but all opinions remain my own.
I had heard of Rosie Green before but had never read a book written by here before but when I saw the title, the cover and then read the blurb I thought that it sounded like a cute autumnal romance book to read.
The main character we follow is Celia but we do have some chapters from a couple of different other characters to. I really enjoyed following Celia and learning about her and her previous romantic history, since the story focuses mostly on her. I personally don’t think we needed the chapters from some of the other characters but it did break the book up nicely towards the start.
Although this is a short romance story, I enjoyed that it doesn’t focus solely on the romance. There is also a mystery element to the story with an interesting revelation towards the end. Because the book is set in autumn and features a Halloween wedding, the mystery element feels like a perfect choice. The wedding venue created wonderfully spooky, autumnal vibes.
The pacing of the book is good considering it is a shorter story. There was lots going on throughout to help keep moving the plot along. I was very happy with how the story ended and although it was very predictable, it was a cute way to end this cosy romance read and I was happy for the main character!
I didn’t realise this book was quite far into an on-going series but I liked that I could go into this story without having to have read the other books previously. The author did a great job of mentioning who the characters were so if you are someone like me who hasn’t read the other books, you still get an understanding of who everyone is.
I think this book is great to read for this time of year. The author did a wonderful job of giving off the ambience I wanted when I decided to read this book in the first place. Whilst there is romance, there is an air of mystery and suspense too!
